Studio Christopher Kulendran Thomas is looking for a Studio Assistant to take on a broad range of tasks across documentation, digital operations and communications, with close involvement in international exhibition projects. The role combines hands-on creative and technical work with organisational responsibility across active productions.
Working hours are flexible; during exhibition and production periods the pace increases and priorities can shift at short notice.

Responsibilities:
– Artwork & Exhibition Documentation: Direct and coordinate documentation for artworks and installation views, ensuring alignment with visual direction. Perform image selection, retouching, basic video editing, and complete file finalization including metadata, captions, and credits.
–Press & communications: Liaise with the press and communication teams of the respective institutions and supply requested media assets. Manage press communications and social media, and support editorial tasks such as text editing and translations.
–Archives & studio materials: Organise and archive digital artworks, images, videos and related production files. Keep the artist's CV, portfolio, project dossiers and press materials up to date.
–Website & digital platforms: Manage content and updates on the studio's WordPress website and maintain its media platforms, such as Vimeo and DocSend.
–Digital infrastructure: Administer the studio's NAS, backups, access permissions and security systems, and document technical processes in clear manuals.
–Production support: Take on practical and organisational tasks as projects develop.

Requirements:
–Experience selecting and editing images, with a strong eye for artwork and –exhibition documentation.
–Confident use of Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and Notion, plus working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
–A methodical, detail-oriented approach to digital files, documentation and archiving.
–Technical confidence to manage and troubleshoot studio systems.
–The ability to prioritise concurrent tasks, adapt when plans change and communicate clearly when deadlines compete.
–An interest in contemporary art and the ability to work both independently and with collaborators.
–Excellent writing and editing skills in English and German.
–Valid driver's license.
–Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
–Highly adaptable with a genuine curiosity to master new skills.
–Resilient and motivated by fast-paced, dynamic challenges.
