Social Media Manager Wanted
A Berlin-based art institution with an art collection of international relevance is looking for a freelance social media manager (or agency) to run its social media channels, mostly Instagram, as well as Facebook and occasionally Youtube. The Instagram channel is in English, though a good knowledge of German is preferable for community management and you may be asked to translate and adapt Instagram content into German for use on other platforms.

Your tasks:
-Posting an average of 2-3 posts per week, monitoring and answering comments
-Independent writing of flawless texts (English), image and film contributions on exhibitions, events and news of the art institution for its social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc.)
-Creative development of a long-term social media strategy for the art institution
-Editorial planning for all content
-Coordination of the production of all content
-Independent coordination and acquisition of text and image material for the various social media presences
-Target group oriented, concise and fast storytelling in words and images (English)
-Obtaining, researching and negotiating image rights
-Simple photography and video capture of exhibitions, events and happenings for the social media channels. May be asked to coordinate with photo and video crew for larger scale productions
- Screening similar art institutions and beyond, evaluating and monitoring for relevant topics and target groups and implementing the results
-Community management and growth, including the use of sponsored posts and ads
-Independent management of the social media budget

Your qualifications and professional experience:
-Completed or advanced university studies (B.A., Diplom (FH), etc.) in a subject related to communication sciences, humanities or a comparable qualification – or exceptional credentials in social media
-Proven professional experience in the field of social media communication or as an online editor, preferably with a focus on culture
-High affinity for language (English) and excellent stylistic and textual confidence in target group-specific communication
-Very good knowledge of legal principles in online communication (including copyright, personal rights, DSGVO, etc.)
-Very good knowledge of content management systems, common image, audio and video formats
-Ability to edit and adjust graphics
-Experience in online and web marketing as well as search engine optimization a plus
-Ability to work independently and conceptually as well as in a team
-High level of initiative, strong organizational and communication skills
-Absolute reliability
-Tax residency in the EU to be able to invoice your services with the art institution
-Well connected in the international art world and especially familiar with the art scene in Berlin, Venice and Paris.
